Yea I know, nothing too great, but I figured I'd post a few pics up anyway for you guys. I have a 70's or 80's 350 ( not sure exactly what) bored .030 over. Shortly will be getting fit with new rings and bearings.

Truck is my 94 s10 SFA on 35"s. It will be a pretty basic swap for time being. Down the road when I get some more cash I plan on doing some more drivetrain work ( higher stall, better tranny possible? Or that new planetery set they have out for the 700rs and 4l60es.)

Anyway, here's the run down.

350 punched out to a 355. Cam will be part summit part # SUM-1107, specs on it are 234 and 244 dur at .050, adv duration is 292 and 302. Lift will be .488 and .510 on factory rockers and LSA is 114*. Should be somewhat beefy, but I don't want to go rediculous on stock stall TC and what not, and the rest of the motor will be pretty stock for now.

I'll be running a street demon 650 carb, Probably on the stock intake unless I decide I have the money to get a new intake. I might see what I can pick up on ebay.

Headers will be a kit from speedwaymotors.com, heres the link..http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/3843,47_Speedway-Small-Block-Chevy-Header-Kits.html

I'll be fitting those up however I like to make sure I clear everything necessary, and then I'll most likely TIG weld them all up.

Fuel will be takin care of with a new mech fuel pump and whatever line mods are necessary since I'm going from EFI to carb. I'll probably just unplug the stock fuel pump and use the mechanical to suck trhough it as long as that will work, I'm told it will though.

Motor mounts I'm not sure yet. I'll probably see if I can fab up a set of mounts to try to keep my costs down.

Cooling will be with the stock radiator and an E fan that will have to mounted as a pusher in front of the radiator. I'll probably try to get a temp probe that sticks in between the fins on the radiator and use that to turn the fan on.

I'm counting on all of my accessories off of the 4.3 to swap over, I'm told they will, but we'll see how that goes.

For looks and to clean it up, I'll be painting the block with a gloss black engine enamel, and the heads silver. I'll get some cheapo summit chrome valve covers, timing cover, and oil pan. Pretty much everything else will be what I already have, and I'll just try to clean up and paint.

I can't really think of any other info, did I miss anything? Well anyway, now for some pics. All I've gotten done so far is stripped the 350 down to the bare block. I need to get a bit more cash to get the crank machined and fitted with new bearings as the ones in there were cooked. I guess they had an oil delivery issue of some sort? I'll be putting in a new high volume oil pump as well.

Now for a few crappy cellphone pics. Sorry, I don't have a dig cam so that's all I have to use.

Look pretty clean huh? Doesn't look like this engine was run a whole lot. I'm guessing they dropped oil pressure for whatever reason, cooked the bearings and didn't bother rebuilding it.

I wouldn't paint the heads silver ... silver heads are best left to aluminum ones :imo:

Yea, we'll see I guess, I figured it'd just look good with the whole scheme. Maybe I'll just keep em black.

I would definatly reconsider running the stock intake. Keep an eye on ebay. SBC intakes are a dime a dozen on there.

yea lately I've been planning on an aftermarket intake. I found some decent ones for pretty cheap on ebay, so I'll probably go that route. Right now I'm just tryin to pull the cash together to get my machine work done.

I live east of you, I have an edelbrock intake with about 500 miles on it. nothing wrong with it, I just don't really have a need for it.
