thanks guys. im planning on some kind of center console to hold a modest system. i couldnt find a box that i liked behind the seat or under it, and im not gonna lose anymore bedspace by cutting through my backwall and building a box in the bed. ive always liked the 4 bucket idea that GM doesnt seem to catch on to.

the legroom is nice, but not as much as id expect in a crew cab. i hope the suburban brackets move the seats back a little.

That is petty sweet!

Notice the different steering wheel and what appears to be a stick shift? The perforated leather seats, four point harnesses and full black out make it totally sic IMO!

One way to get quad buckets in a CC is get some 2nd row buckets from a burb or Yukon XL, esky ESVs will work too. The real good thing is that they bolt right in (same floor pan). The draw back it they don't come in the same colors. Nothing Katskin can't fix. I found my Rear buckets on car-part.com they were out of an 04 burb with >10 miles on it, they were still in the plastic. IIRC they were 500 shipped. One day they'll make it from the box to my truck...I've had em 6-8 months now.

It's possible to do quads in an EC like the SS above. There's a lot involved to do it right though. I haven't done this the a Chevy, but I did it on an 03 Dog poop. I pulled the covers and cushions off the frame, then cut the frame. Next welded in supports and took it to the upholstery shop I out source to. They were able to redo the seat cushions and covers into buckets with out adding any material. I'm sure it would be similar for a GM rig...

I'm already trying to figure out how to reinforce the body/frame so it doesn't flex and cause stress cracks on that prototype. IRS would be practically mandatory.

Looks good!! I've been telling people with ext cabs and crew cabs to do that instead of taking the rear seats out for a system. People don't listen. :insane:

lol...i was gonna say something about the dual seatbelts...it would be nice to figure out something to do about those tho...maybe you could take the belts out of the seat and get some covers for the seats (katskins, wet okoles, etc) that don't have a hole for the seatbelts...its just an idea
