bad ass josh!!!!!!
I LOVE my ranchhand, they are freaking invincible. Its one of the best mods ive done to my truck so far :imo
That looks great on yours, get a matching rear and sine black diamonplate bed caps. BTW where are my bed caps
im not gonna get a back bumper until i get one with tapered sides. if it wasnt for that, then id have one now to. im probably gonna have to get an HD rear and put the 1500 brackets on. that will take some time :anitoof: :rocking:

tapered like mine or tapered like hulks?
tapered like mine or tapered like hulks?
we dont make them tapered like yours anymore. yours was a KRG which was the company that bought ranchhand back in '99. hulks isnt tapered. his is a knock off.

:rocking: Looks great. How about painting the skidplate?
thanks guys, im debating what else i want to do to the front. ill prolly do the lights when nick does the halos. as for the skidplate, im thinking about cutting the CST logo into it with a plasma cutter since it is a CST skidplate, then linexing it. it got pretty beat up in the box on the way here, so i have to do something to it.

I know it will cost more than if you plasma it yourself, but if you could get the GMFS logo with the tribalskulls lazer cut or waterjetted into the skid plate that'd look bitchen. I know the design would need to be modifide.

Lookin' bad ass Josh :head2:. I would definently plasmacut the CST or a GMFS logo in your skidplate...either one would really set it off :imo

fcking badass. Do you work for ranchhand or something? You seem to know your shit about them. Those things are pretty pricey $$. Looks perfect :bowtie:

powdercoat that bitch white :anitoof:
not my style but it does look good. makes the already agressive front end look even better
thanks again guys. i didnt even think about the GMFS logo. that would be sweet as hell. although i couldnt cut it myself if it was the GMFS logo. yeah i do work for ranchhand. im liking the replacement waaaay better to, and powdercoating that shit white would look slick, but i think the linex would hold up better. although, if i get an intricate logo cut into the plate, the white would show it better.

Since I dont know much about lifted trucks, Im wondering what is the purpose of this mod. Is it just for looks or does it have a purpose? :shake:
Eisenfaust
10-03-2004, 08:59 PM
Its purpose is just being a beast bumper. You can hit almost anything and not hurt that ranchhand. I consider mine a useful mod...i use it for the following.
Stubborn cattle....sometimes they need a little push!
Trailer...It offers a hitch up front that is a part of the bumper and looks good. Its also a good tow point
Accidents...if you rearend somebody, there fucked, your fine
I also use it for various shit, like when one of our trailers came undone and started rolling down the hill towards my uncle...I swugn the truck around and was able to stop it with my bumper and it only suffered a small scratch.
The only way i have hurt mine so far was i nailed a huge brick column being a dumbass, it busted it up really bad and just caused my paint to flake.
Josh it looks great, you need to talk grant into putting his back on now.
damn that shit looks MEAN. i love it :rocking:
i wonder how much it would cost to ship a ranchhand up here...

I had a collision with a decent sized deer going about 55 mph. Dead on hit. It was very similar to hitting a mosquito with a text book.
as mentioned above, it is a solid one piece system with no additional brackets. without extra things to work loose over time, it is VERY stout. it provides extra protection from everything, and gives additional ground clearance. the hitch in the front is rated for a 20K LB straight pull. thats pretty significant. its kind of a texas thing, but alot of people including myself think they look good on the truck. they also give you a place to put your tools on when doin mods, and also a place to sit when hanging out.
to ship, its usually about 130$ to a business with a loading dock. residences are ALOT more.
grant got a grille guard from me a while back. i kinda like his truck better with the grille guard than that old bullnose.

Damn right I am.
Actually, I talked with a couple welding/fab shops a while back about cutting/contouring the brushguard (so that it will weld on cleanly), and welding it onto the Bullnose, and they wanted $250-$300 to do it. Seems kinda steep for about 1 hour's work.
Josh... Damnit man, seeing these pics are making me want to put my Bullnose back on. :insane:
Just kiddin Grant. Its tough to do without the right tools, and while your at school.
Once D.E. gets his welder use his and do it.

 yeah, for being homemade, its wasnt too bad. he put alot of time into it.
Grant, for the amount of work youd put into it, it would be cheaper and easier (and look 100 times better) to sell your grille guard, bullnose, chrome bumper, and then buy a scratch and dent full replacement and probably still have a few bucks to buy me some beer.

Ah yeah I know. Its fine with me, like I said in my other post I expect it and don't care. I am not gonna come on here and blast GM, even though I didn't enjoy my Z all the time, but they are good trucks. Most here hate Ford and I'm not gonna be a dick and say they are the best and shit, like some that go on the Ford sites I visit. I like reading about stuff here, posting here, and I like the guys here. But I am gonna get another GM vehicle soon. A old ass Chevy to beat the hell out and I will fit in around here again. :D

What did you end up doing with your fog lights? Are they just disconnected now? Could you use that switch for off-road lights now?
