I like the brishgiard more. Full replacements are my favorite though IMO. Sell both and buy a full replacement!

Eventhough you have both I would go with the grill guard. :imo

Keep the brushguard. :D I like it. Front end replacements are nice but too heavy for a 1/2 ton :imo

Weight is not an issue, my truck has strong t-bars that usually come in 3/4 tons. My truck was a freak from the factory.

not true. we make a line of front ends specifically for half tons. the one for them is significantly lighter than the HDs. they weigh about 230lbs. the grille guard weighs about 130, then the chrome weighs about 60. thats 190 right there. whats an extra 40 lbs? that bullnose wieghs about 150 or so. either way, its like having another person ride with you.
id vote for a full replacement, or keep the grille guard.

hey josh you happen to know what mine weighs? That bitch is heavy.
weld them together :imo
or just go with the brushguard
hey josh you happen to know what mine weighs? That bitch is heavy.
yours is about 260lbs.
if you weld them together you probably wont like the result. then you will have one ugly heap you probably cant sell, versus doing it the other way.

Is the 1/2 ton replacement part of a "special series" of replacements? I called one of RH's authorized dealers in Houston and they told me the replacement was too heavy for a Non HD truck, and recommended just the grill guard.
Whats a good price on one of the 1/2 tom replacements?
Thanks
Hey Grant if you do sell your stuff for a full replacement LMK I might buy your old bumper. I have my old replacement on my brother's truck and I'm gonna take it off before he gets rid of the truck. I put his bumper on my truck when I traded it in.
Damn I still feel sorry for the guy that got that truck. That sob was naked when I took it in for a trade in. He prolly thought it had some nice rims and nice lift, little did he know the hell that thing went through. :D

did you call one of the authorized dealers or the factory outlet? the 1/2 ton trucks have theyre own application. it is COMPLETELY different from the ones for the HDs. if they were too heavy, we wouldnt offer them for sale. there would be too much liability. i sure as hell wouldnt have one on my own personal truck either.
retail for the grille guard is 449, retail for the front replacement is 919.

might be because they didnt have one at the time. those things move very slowly for the 1500s.

Do it! That will give me a good excuse to come to Dallas for a weekend. :D

Wanna trade my Bullnose for the front end replacement thats on your bros truck, or some sort of combination of things?
Or, how much $$$ would you want for the front end replacement?
Yet on the other hand, the more I think about it, the more I think I should just leave well enough alone, and just leave the brushguard on.
brushguards are for pussies! :anitoof: :imo

I can't sell my replacement yet its on my bros truck and he likes it so its gonna have to stay for just little longer. I am just saying I would take your old stock bumper so I can take it off down the road. Nah I don't need to trade I have no use for it now.
