almost layed still have to raise the y-pipe, take off the stablizer bars that are bolted to the frame and notch the gas tank x-member. Still has about 1.5" to come down

Jimmie Broyles at Autotrendz up in oklahoma city bagged the front/ step notch / tubbed firewall / trans x-member ( If you need something bagged in the okc area these guys do a good job and are cool people to talk to and very helpful)

Me and a few friends installed the KP comp 6-link kit (see thread in street for some install questions i have)

components
2" Belltech spindles
slam specialties RS72
KP 6-link
(8) GC 250 1/2" valves
air commander w/ 8.5 gallon tank (air supply goes too fast:evil:)

Rims/tires
Billet Specialties SLX36 22 x 10 with 7.5" backspacing (all corners)
BFG KDW II's 285/35/22 (al corners)

the bed is not on becuz i am having some shaving/tubs done by Cam aka Physh1

thanks for the comments :D

the pressure switch is 145/110 but im only getting 130 in the front bags for some reason i guess its maxed the control arms out

im still a little uneasy driving it and nervous as hell with out any gauges yet (got one fitting for one side, but the ones i ordered some for the gauges but were sent the wrong ones)

LowBlue02
10-16-2004, 06:44 PM
I drove my truck for a year and a half with no gauges, they're not necessary, just make things easier. You'll eventually just get a feel and won't need them. :D

How does it ride?

LOOKS GREAT:head2::head2:

Downfall
10-16-2004, 06:56 PM
i dont have an alignment yet and im riding kinda high but it feels ok i have to drive a few more days to really get a feel

about to put on my stock tires becuz i have to make a long trip to houston and for business and since there the same overall od i can get a few for how low i can drive without chewing up tires etc

I dont have shocks in the front yet but it rides ok without them i might get some done like mike(grounded has) big hoops and two shocks

LowBlue02
10-16-2004, 07:02 PM
Ya, I drove my truck for a year and a half w/no front shocks. It's tolerable, and rides really good sometimes, but you'll get sick of it.

Mine's in the shop right now getting shocks installed on the front, and gauges installed, as well as replacing all 8 SMCs for Parkers. Should be getting it back Tuesday or Wednesday.

The big problem with no front shocks is that you can't ride as low as you want, because every little dip will send the front-end slamming into the ground.

Truck looks great man, post some pics of it locked up. :D

Downfall
10-16-2004, 07:10 PM
locked up looks pretty close to stock ride height

Lookin' great man. I'm really diggin' the wheels!!!!

Every time I get on GMFS, I want bags and 22's. Whenever I get on 'tech, I want a heads, a bigger cam, blower, etc.

It's tough trying to build something for a little show and a little go. :)

Downfall

depending on how my trip to houston goes i should be up at spookfest in lawton at the end of this month for anybody wanting to check it out

the rims and tires were right at 5k, i have been saving money for this truck ever since my last truck

being single, having a good paying job and not spending money on BS is what made it possiable for me to get this truck to this level

now that its here it makes me want a bodydrop that much more :nono:
