460 bbc + 1985 monte ss

well ive has the car since i was 17. it was my 1st car and redid the whole car. now the car has been off the raod for a few year. now it going to by a toy.
cars is getting a new paint job and interior. full audio system, 460 bbc. its going to be a street car but hope to make 500 hp. ford 9" and disc breaks all around plus wheels and tires.

1 st up is a 1993 454 out of a 2500 pick up that had 8000k on the clock.
got it all cleand and borad .30 over with a set of Keith Black pistions forged alum. 6.135" Rods, -2.9cc Flat Top Dome. should be around 8.8-1 which is low and can run reg gas. comp thumper cam ,edle brook alum heads...

he has built 496, turbo400 with manual valve body, and i think 373s in the back cause it drives to the track.

he has a 300 shot on it but hasnt used it. runs mid 11s i think. needs driver mod lol.

noting big. got my 2 red tops in. 4 gauge power to my alt and starter. 3 4 gauge grounds on the block. 4 awg batt to iso to batt. 0 awg to the back with a 200 amp breaker , and each batt has a 0 awg. 97 % or the wireing is done under the hood. Today we started it for the first time in a month or so i can hear what muffles to go with turbos or flowmaster. flowmaster it is. super deep rumble.
new b&m hammer shifter is in. did some body work. found some rot. so went out and picked up a new toy. a lincoln welder 140hd

Where did you get your A/C delete? I was thinking of just getting the sheet metal to cover mine, but I know alot of Northern & Canada cars just had a heater ... was this something you looked for and found or is some company selling them now?? Let me know.

paint is going to be Brilliant Black Crystal Pearlcoat with 2 sliver strips on the cowl hood. front is drop 2inch. cant make up my mind and dont know who will have the right offset. but kmc nova or boss 335 20x8 and 20x10 in the rear. rear tires most likey is a 275/35/20. but might get a wider tire on the rear. 255/40 up front.

yea im reall like the kmc.but the boss wheels have more offsets and will work with my rim guy.
he thinks he might get the new nitto 555 305-35-20 to fit on a 10 inch rim. but i think that going to be way to wide and a 275 is the biggest thats going to fit all stock,no tube or mintube. but with the tq not much going to hold it anyway. :driver:

im 100 % set on chrome wheels. there is no chrome on the exterior of the car and need some thing to break up the black.. but in that style of wheel i like the coys c5. they are hot.

I have an ATI Th400 with all the bells and whistles, lightened internals, full manual, Tbrake etc...
I actually started a frame off on it, blasted the whole frame, notched the frame so I could run 10" wide rims with 325 drag radials, cut out all the rust on the car and hand made all new panels for it but then I bought my truck and have been addiced to the truck and put the car aside.
Sold the blower but the motor is setup for spray and the smallest shot I will run is a 250, motor made 470RWHP even tho I changed the head gaskets so the motor would run on pump gas with a small carb and very little timing. That was also in my brothers 92 GMC P/U, with my tranny but a converter that wasnt set up for the combo and slipped alot.

2in drop spindles and 1 1/2 drop coils out back (all belltech). When I had it just rebuilt the suspension with all new parts, poly bushings, and Bilstein shocks. Also had the 200 4R and rebuilt. I was considering going with a crate 350 or 383, but I never did pull the trigger. Some day I will get the nerve to build or rebuild a engine my self now that I have a garage.

well I went with moog 5660 coils that are for a S10. The spring rate is about 639in/lbs vs. MC SS stock coils (moog 5608) with a spring rate of 420in/lbs giving the car more of a firm ride. The nice thing about 5660s is that the load height is about .25in lower than the stock coils for a SS.

just put some 1 inch rear drop springs. did a lil bit of fiber glass work for some gauges. start to make my console, but have to wait for my seat tracks to come. bs 4 weeksto get them they are on back order. did some body work, little bit at a time maybe by the end of this summerand it will be painted/ on the road.

well little bit more work done. old chrome wheels were shoot so lil bit of wheel paint and good to go. winte wheels. roll bar all tacked in just have to plate the rear and bolt in. got the rest of the car in primer. doors and truck lid are done just not on the car. 36 sqft of dynamat down and another 36 sqft waiting to go in
