Well, i've been using the NXT liquid wax almost ever since it came out. I've used it all, zaino, tropicare, klasse, Pinnnacle souverne you name it i've used it. This NXT paste was is the BEST stuff I've ever used. I found it EXTREMLY easy to apply very thing coats, and it came off with NO effort at all. NO white dusting, no oily aftermath, nothing, just a nice clean removal. I tried the paste thinking 'oh, it will just be the same as the liquid but hopefully last a little longer'. WRONG. It's like a totally different product, much smoother going on and off, doesn't 'stick' or gum up your MF towel when you are removing it. It does have the typical NXT rather 'plasticy' shine. But the paste seems to give the paint a little more depth. Today, I started by dusting off the truck with some final inspection then i applied the 1st thing coat, followed by another misting of final inspection to gloss it up a little bit, and then one last thin coat of the paste. These pics are after the 1st coat, as I was already losing light and knew i wouldnt have time for pics if i waited any longer. I am VERY pleased. The pics really dont do the finish much justice, there light was fading fast and I'm a shitty photographer. Hopefully I can get some better pictures this weekend in some direct sun to show off how the filling properties of the stuff makes my paint appear absolutley swirl free.

Great reflections :head: I have always been a fan of Meguiars' products, and I will definitely be trying the NXT soon.

thanks guys. This NXT paste is honestly the best stuff I've ever used. The pics look good, but dont even come close to doing the paint justice, especially after i put that second coat on. I'm interested to see how long the paste lasts compared to the liquid, but honestly, when it only takes 20 minutes to put on and take off a coat, I really couldn't care less how often i have to do it.

nice job. question for you, what color is your truck? it looks to be a dark blue, is that correct?

the only reason i say that is because on the shot of the hood where you can barely see the top of the grille, i see some blue. it looks like my truck. i had it painted black and added some blue pearl to it. it can only be seen in direct light, otherwise it looks straight black.

It's a new color for '05, dark blue metallic, its like indigo, but darker. Its especially hard to tell in these pics since I'm taking them for reflection purposes. I'll try to take some pics of the full truck tomorrow if the weather holds..

The paste is actually the same as the liquid. It's the same exact product. Nothing has changed. The paste goes on better because you can spread it around a lot better if you're doing it by hand. But if any of you own a PC or any other brand DA buffer liquid is better for you. Also using a buffer is always going to be better than by hand because you can get into all the little pores of the clear coat much much better. Plus you won't have a sore arm from rubbing it in all day either.

yes its the same, yes you are better, yes your PC owns anyother buffer that could possibly exist and you know infintly more about any aspect of detailing than anybody else. You've read autopia and take what they say as gospel and throw up a few links every now and then. Congrat-u-fuckin-lations.

:word: dude chiil out. Good Lord! :nono: You're the one that came on here saying that the paste was a better product than the liquid. I was just stating that it's not a different product. It's the same product. That's all I stated to you. And why do I read Autopia? Because it's made up of "Professional" detailers who are members. They know a whole lot more than I do. I've learned much through that site as well as through my years of experience with detailing. If someone on this site wants help in that area that I'm familiar with, such as detailing, I'm going to help them out. Just like I would with any other area of this site. Cause guess what? That's why we have this site. To help each other out. Why do I keep saying my PC buffer is good? Because it is. It's a very good, easy to use buffer that you can get results with. You can also ask other members on here that use that same buffer and ask them why they use it. Because it's good! Same reason we all drive GM's on this site.

If we are going to play the guess what game, then hey claye, guess what? I probably own ALL the same products you do, I own your precious little PC buffer, and yes it is a great product, I love it for applying polishes and the like where using such a buffer is actually beneficial. I'm not attacking your detailing knowledge or anything of the sort. I am just tired of the fact that since we do things just slightly differently that you feel the need to always 'correct' me and tell me that your way is better because in your head you know more.

Dude I"m not correcting your detailing skills. But when someone says that the paste is a better product than the liquid when in fact it's the same exact product, I am going to say something.

Good job Claye, don't see what the problem is. You have helped alot of people and I don't undertsand the attitude. Everyone has the right to share their opinion, but should do so in a professional manner. Just my 2 cents worth.

Stupid thread and argument, I just wanted to add that I tried the NXT paste this past weekend, and I like it better than the liquid (I know it's the same product), but it's been years since I used a paste. I had good results, better than liquid. It's so shiny, I just can't believe how good NXT is, and I bought it at wal-mart!

Well, I've seen other problems too. Glad to hear tho :handshake Didn't realize how old this thread was, ever since I saw the finish the NXT gave you I've been wanting to try it. Glad I did.
glad you had good results. If you dont mind I would actually appreciate a PM outlining the 'problems' you've seen. Other than the past issue with claye I honestly can't recall anything else...

:word: Me and JoeJ are cool now. You can't let something like "wax" or "detailing" get in the way. That's really not something to fuss about it! :anitoof: He does his detailing almost like me, as far as the products he uses, but we also use them slightly different too. Which is ok. He gets results with the way he does things and so do I. Which is fine with me. :shake:

nice! i figured NXT was some obscure-ass wax you had to order online from a detailing store, the fact that its available at walmart sealed the deal. i'll go pick some up if you don't mind seeing it on a dodge :D

NXT paste wax is unimpressive. did my hood and fenders and they looked like shit. i didn't have time to clay and am used to rain-x fast wax that i usually use removing water spots. NXT doesn't. i went over the hood and fenders with rain-x fast wax and they looked a lot better. not sure what the problem is, i applied it according to the directions and used microfiber towels. if anyone wants my virtually unused tin of NXT, they can have it. waste of $13 imo.
