What does a Hypertech Programmer actually do? Will it make my truck faster ? Or will it make the check engine light come on. I cant believe they r $350. Anyone have any experience?

I agree,a hypertech can not and absolutly will not compare to a custom tune.Do you self a favor and spend you money on a custom tune.

well a hypertech isn't as bad as everyone makes it seem. Yah a custom tune is a shit load better from what i hear but the convience of making adjustments whenever you want is nice. While saying that, I have a nelsons tune waiting to be installed which was funded by the sale of my hypertech :bowtie:

The biggest problem with a hand held unit is, they offer no customization and one size fits all. They are useful for tire and gear changes, but why not get some performance as well. A custom offers superior performance and free updates forever!

Id love to get a Nelson tune, but as allen just told me he doesnt have one for a OBS. He said he was goin to though, thanks.
