I have checked my 90 obs truck out & still have a problem with my parking lights. They are blowing the fuse out of the blue. I checked my grounds & such. no problems there. I have autometer gauges that are wired to my headlight switch & the lights in them go out when i lose my parking lights. i replaced the headlight switch but still popping fuses. I'm pulling my hair out. any ideas. I don't know how to check it other than visually & with a test light. isn't there a "continuity test" or voltage test I can do (although i've heard those terms I can't seem to find out how they will help me)
PLEASE HELP ME, IT SUCKS ONLY GETTING TO DRIVE DURING THE DAY!

could your taillight circuit boards be shorting out?

i wouldn't think that they are since they are not that old. They were both replaced about 1-1/2 to 2 years ago, which is only about 4000 miles since i don't drive it much. i found some suspicious wires tonight & fixed them in the rear by the taillights. Still no fix. I unhooked the gauges & that didn't help either. So I'm gonna go back & check my front parking lights again for about the 10th time. Thanks for the suggestion though. I may have to buy some of those. I'll check them out too.

got it fixed. I actually found 2 wires that needed attention. One was broken & the other had a good size bare spot. Fixed both & that cured the problem. Then I went to fire it up to go for a spin & my brand new, never installed, battery wouldn't turn the motor over! Got a new batt yesterday & she fired right up. Got everything buttoned back up last night late. Then it rained today. Just my luck.
