I'm trying to trace down a lingering problem with my power locks on my 99 Silverado and its getting more and more frustrating. To start with I had no power locks on either door for a while and after changing my drivers side front hub due to a bad bearing the drivers door lock started working.I didn't do anything to it other than work on the hub, never touched the wiring at all, weird. Now I'm trying to sort out the passenger door, the passenger lock button will lock/unlock the drivers door but not its own and the same goes for the remote transmitter.I used my Chilton manual to start and trouble shoot the door and it says there should be power on one of the 2 wires to the lock solonoid in the lock position and on the other in the unlock.Well I've got power in the lock position but none in the unlock and from what I can tell there is continuity in the wires from the junction on the side of the dash to the solonoid wires.I tried to put power to the lock mechanism but could'nt get it to work from an outside 12volt source so I'm not sure what's wrong with it.Anyone have any ideas where to look next?
