SOooooooo this could be a dumb question BUT, if I can take the shocks on my golf cart and compress them by pushing with just my pinky finger and then they stay fully compressed statically with no load on them....are they blown? Not that I know what a perfectly setup lifted golf cart feels like, but mine has a crazy amount of body roll, I can grab the roof and move it like a foot side to side. I'm thinking maybe the shocks are done, they are 13 years old....

Some shocks pop back out when you push them in some don't. My ranchos wont pop back out on their own, I don't think they even had anything holding them compressed in the package, didnt have the twist to unlock either like a lot of NIB shocks and struts do.
Main purpose of a shock is to resist being extended once compressed. How do they feel to pull back out? but yeah I don't think they're supposed to compress super-easy. Are they car/truck shocks? or something made especially for a gold cart? |
