Default wondering

in my 84 blazer, i have developed an interesting problem.. sometimes, not always, when you use the right signal light, it activates both rear signals.. it will stop blinking when brakes are applied. wondering anyone else have this problem??
also am in middle of switching out tbi motor,(87 blazer, broken connector rod, no compression) for a carbed unit ( i know, i know, mileage etc) but is what i had in the yard.. is all bolted in, now am hitting the mass of wires left behind, any easy way of sorting this mess out? i know which wires i need to keep, for distributer, alternator, oil pressure, etc.. is the ones left over from the tbi and brain case(computer) that i'm not wanting in there.. and if dentent cable is present would tranny have that torque converter lock up issue.. thanx..

ok, so i chased that short from one tail light to another, switched out new ground on right rear, fixed it for a bit, then it was back, switched out left, fixed it for a bit, then again.. back.. so i was so pissed by this time i switched out front two light grounds , slammed the hood, and called it done.. if it still blinks goofy, i don't care, well for today and till i get the other projects done.. so off to play with the 69 chevy and finish up the 87 blazer... before winter hits here hard... yuck..

have you tried replacing the blinker relay? its a cheap investment, or just swap it from somthing u might have laying around.

yeah bulbs and the relay were the first to swap out... some of the grounds looked crappy once i skinned the wires... is just a totally frustrating stupid issue... even removed the trailer light assembly, thinking that was part of it.. not..
wow you got a nice toy there.. and it's dirty too, awesome, around here lots of fools dump tons of cash into their rides and never ever see the dirt... whats the point in that?

wicked cool.. the rotating short is gone.. after removing all signs of corrosion on the grounds for all lights, i have regular signals again, and my low beams are brighter..
was so crazy , because if you shut off the truck with the right signal going, the motor would surge with the signal... so where do you start with that..
was ready to search for a stick of dynamite, so glad i didn't...
