Default Sub stops working at higher volume

Alright here is my problem i was listening to music last night. hittin good like its supposed to. go up this morning went out started it up, headed to school, turned it up not really loud just listenin to country with very little bass and it worked up till i got to 27(out of 60) on my volume. got home and tried everything i could. looked over wires, even changed fuses. still cuttin out at 27 no matter the music type, works good before 27 tho . really baffled. anyone have any ideas or fixes to my problem?

your remote wire connection good? crimp your ground in an eyelet, use washers then bolt it down.

amp may be going into protection due to too low of a resistance. is the amp stable at ratings below 4 ohms? are you sure the sub's voicecoil(s) are wired in a 4 ohm load?

Start with the ground. Seat bolts usually aren't preferred.

its bolted to the bare metal of the cab. got an idea for tomorrow tho. ive two holes in the back where the spare tire used to be, ill take the bolt out of the hole and run it straight to the frame. that should tell me if its the ground or not im pretty sure

if you tried all of the above it might be the amp itself.. What is your voltage btw when you turn it up to the point to where it fucks up? I would do the easiest troubleshooting step possible and try it with a different amp. Maybe borrow a friends amp but set gains accordingly if it is a more powerful amp.
