I use the remote to unlock the doors, then just grab the handle and pull the door open. Never have i had an unlocked door frozen to the point that I could not tug it open.

88-98 trucks were notorious for breaking door handles in really cold conditions, magnesium gets really brittle when its cold.

Nah its just that I know how to deal with cold and winter, when winter lasts 6-7 months you don't make a big deal out of it; you just go about it like any other day of the year. Some of you guys make it sound like the world ends when winter hits.

And a trick is to push in on the door first before you pull to break the icy seal.

It gets cold here (down to around 5* or so) but we dont have snow and ice all winter. Its still a good idea to be prepared and keep up with regular maintenance whether youve made it this far without a problem or not.

Albany is famous for that ice storm shit, the day I bought my C3 at Albany Dodge, it was encased with that much ice. We've only had one or two that bad up north.

My hood deflector goes on for winter. All the sand and shit they dump on the roads here do a number on the hd hoods. 2 bags of tubesand in the bed and i'm good to go. I wax my truck one last time before the snow flies and it doesnt see soap again til spring. Top and bottom rinses at the carwash every other day or so never hurt either.

I'm ready. Though I HATE winters here in MO. I'm sure it's not as bad here as some of you folks get but I just hate it.

I got my stockers on now and will give the truck a detail job this weekend. Make that shit slick to prevent sticking
