milky oil is a sign that water is getting in the oil
so that should tell me whether the leak is coming from either the intake or head gasket, and if the oil is straight then i know it's something external
just got done checkin the oil this mornin and the oil looks normal so that has to eliminate the possibility of it bein the head or intake gasket right? had a small puddle this mornin and to me it still seems like its just leakin on top of the thermostat housing where the hose is connected but i made sure the clamp was tight and it is

Ok well I just got home and parked the truck and noticed it was drippin pretty steadily so I popped the hood and the drips were runnin down the front and back of the block so I'm pretty sure it's the intake gasket now, but why would my oil be fine? I sprayed off the intake with the hose and dried it off to see where it's bleeding and as far as I can tell it's right where intake makes contact with the valve covers
You could replace it with an Edelbrock and you should pick up some power, but I think that the throttle body itself is more of a restriction than the manifold.
TBI cam is shit also. I would not get the 'Brock intake until I had a better set of heads/cam to match.
All that shit is cheap now second hand due to the Gen III rush.
When my intake gasket blew, I got air in the cooling system, causing it to give this annoying gurgling sound in the cab, Some get coolant in the lifter valley, mixing with the oil that gives the milky look. Depends on the location of the leak.
I know it's no the thermostat gasket cuz it's sealed up good, could possibly be cracking under the clamp but the hose really is in good condition
now that i think about it, if your still paranoid about head gasket, pull the radiator cap off and fire the truck up, it should consistantly bubble as a sign of head gaskets

if it was leaking into the oil galley, the oil would be milky, which he says isnt occuring, i mean when he pulls it appart he will prolly leak a little into there, and then you want to change it, but i figured i would point that out
