Default obs headlights

my 95 gmc's headlights are gettin pretty dim. i already replaced the bulbs but i know that my biggest problem is the lens. its got that yellowish tint to it. i tried wetsanding them awhile back and it seemed to help but is there any tricks to this to clear them up again or should i just bite the bullet and buy new headlights?

Buy new ones IMO. I have 1 new one (from a wreck) and 1 factory one thats cloudy. You can def see the difference. I'm just too lazy to buy another one

i have been thinking about it. the only problem with buying new ones is that they will run you about 150 a piece from gm unless you get aftermarket. but then your gonna sacrifice quality. so im not sure what im gonna do. im going to try the wet sand and buffing polishing idea but does anyone know if these headlights come apart so i can clean the inside or is it one piece?

New.

I tried to clean my OEM's all the time. Always came back to the same cloudy yellow in time.

Wetsand with 1000 grit.

Polish.

Seal them.

You need to protect them from UV, that's the trick. Keep paint sealant on them.
