Ok heres the deal, or idea rather. My son is going to turn sixteen in November and Im thinking about giving him the Yukon. If and when this happens Im going to buy another two door but this time Im buying one stock and will be doing all the mods myself. My question is which lift is preferred by the members here. From what Ive been told so far the Cepek is the best out there with 6.5" of lift without cranking and up to 8" with cranking. Id rather not crank the TB's if I dont have to. Im full of questions so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Would I need a leveling kit with this?
Steering stabilizer?
Any other parts, lifts, or components recommended?
I noticed the RC lift that it goes from '92 to '98 and '99 to 2
'06. What was the change in '99?
Also, I forgot to mention the new truck will be a 97-99

My vote gets either one. Yea that DC lift gives you a full drop of 6.5" but is that worth it to you to pay the extra $400-500 to get that over the Rough Country. You really cant beat the price of the rough country if you watch the vendors will give discounts for them on here and I could have gotten the Rough country 6" shipped for $926. But the thing about the RCX lift is that it only drops it about 5" and you have to crank that extra inch to get to 6". If you wanted to go higher you could always get a body lift and you would be still coming out cheaper than the DC. Those are just some of the things that I have thought about when deciding between the 2.

LiftedLQ9 ran his truck so hard it was fucking up the body mounts and the truck was aligned one time, when we first put the lift kit on, never came out of alignment, never had anything bend or break in the lift kit. Rough Country makes great lift kits.

I have personally had the Cepek lift kit and I loved it...pain in the ass to put on, but once it was on it was awesome to me. I had mine sitting at 9" in the front and I still have pretty decent angles on the CV's and I never HAD to get an alignment after the first time. I think for the money RCX is going to be great, but if you want the BIGGEST 6" lift I would go with the cepek...I loved mine...if you want pics of mine let me know
