hi guys,
i have been trying to figure out how to do a high 6 conversion on my 2000 silverado ext cab 2wd 5.3l,
i allready custom did a high 4 kit that works really good, but i want to add the fogs in as well, i know for shure if all else fails i can just add a relay harness similiar to the ones used for HID'S but i was wondering if there is a way to use diodes and jump around in the fuse box?
Look in the underhood fusebox. Go by the diagram on the underside of the box cover; don't go by the printing on the relays, as half of mine were installed backwards (which is okay for these particular relays, but not helpful for this hack).
Connect 86 on the HL relay to 86 on the Fog relay. Keep the Fog relay in place.
In that thread, I also said how to run the DRLs at the same time. 8hi.
Hmm Ill have to give it a try them. Evey where I read the fusebox thing was 03+ so I just did the grounding the yellow wire trick but that only gives you low+high beams.
thanks alot guys, i did this with my truck with my own modifications, i did my DRLS and all so its a high 8, my fogs are triggered off my drls, my drls are still drl's, (there really cool LED'S like 6000k color) and then my DRL'S get power from my headlight relay since my lows are HID'S with seperate relays, and the DRLS only draw 1w so it should be fine.
