Default 2007 Silverado A/C wont get cold after sitting for two months

Good afternoon gents,

So I was away for 2 monthish and had to leave my truck here in Florida. Well I get back and the truck of course runs great, however, the a/c is not too happy with me. The a/c is not getting cold. Before I left it worked great. Now, it when the a/c turns on it will only slightly cool the air. THere is a noticeable difference between A/C and just the fan but Im not sure what the would indicate. Im thinking it is possible that because the humidity a little bit of rust has built up on the clutch which prevent it from full engaging but im not sure at all. Anyhelp would be appreciated.

Yes, but there is 55psi on the system as of just now so it obviously doesnt need freon. Any other thoughts?

No it doesnt change.

Also, it will only blow out slightly cold air at low in cab fan speeds. If I bump it to max setting it will not be cold(relatively).

I learned today from a friend that drove it a few weeks ago that the ac worked fine then.

Have you looked at the compressor to see if the clutch is actually engaging? Also, if it is engaging and you still arent getting cold air out, the blend door could be malfunctioning. I think it uses a small servo motor to control the amount of opening between heat and A/C.

Yes, the compressor is physically engaging. I got eyes on it.

Im not sure if this helps but the evaporator(right in front of the cab?) gets super cold and has condensation coming off.

I think it could be a blockage somewhere in the system. Like I said before it could be the blend door inside the vehicle. Since you stated the pressure earlier I assume you have gauges. Here is a chart that may help in diagnosing the problem.

Thanks for the chart.

I had it checked. However its not fixed.

-freon is good.
-pressure is good on both high/low

We added some freon because it was little low but it is still blowing cool air.

As far as the blend door. I cycled it from hot to its coldest setting and it gets hot just fine. Just does not get that cool. I mean its warm out but it used to turn into an ice box.

Any ideas as to the next step?

Condenser has no visible debris.

Is it blowing anywhere else? Or just straight through the front vents only?
