2004 5.3 Low Buck Upgrades
Tried searching but computer went a little re-re on me.
I work at a chevy dealer and Im getting a killer deal on an 04 crew half ton and wondered what some low buck upgrades are?
I plan on cutting the stock box, I found a K&N in the backroom for it I can have and I'm going to ebay an Air-raid tube. I will also be putting a nice sounding exhaust on it. I plan on getting a tune when I replace the tires and probably a vette servo aswell. I just wondered what I could add to it to make my daily commute a little more fun and maybe sneek some better milage from it as well? I drive about 30 a day so it needs to be reliable, and I will only be putting 265/70R17s on it so i wont kill fuel milage with those.

Headers, torque converter, regearing are all great upgrades that individually don't cost very much but provide the most bang for the buck.

I think the tune and torque converter were my two best upgrades.

Not in the city for mine, drives almost like stock and only really flashes high when you get on it.

I mean low buck, like less than a grand for parts, labor is cheap when you have a key to a gm dealership shop
