'00 Z71 need more lift
my uncle has a 2000 Z71 with the 6" RCD kit on it. Can he crank the torsion bars with that kit to get an inch or two more of lift? also what are torsion keys and how do they work? thanks

No, the differential is only dropped 4.5" I wouldn't run CV's any steeper than 2" of lift over stock... So the max I'd go is 6.5" He shouldn't crank more than a couple turns, about 1/2 an inch.

Re: '00 Z71 need more lift
Yeah Im surhe COULD crank but it wouldnt be wise because the RCD kit is a knuckle lift which already has kind of steep angles. If he cranks the angles on the CV shaft will be very bad and hell prolly snap one. Might wanna look into a BL.

A ton of other stock parts would fail before any body lift part would ever fail. Tell him to throw a body lift on.

WORD. It would be safer and better for the truck to run a 3" body lift, than it would be to crank up his RCD to 7 or 8".
