If you want to change the color of the backlight on your gauges, but dont know what all is involved here are the simplest instructions you can find.
Tools: Small Flat Screw Driver 7mm Socket or Nut Driver Time: About 20 minutes. Results: Priceless Step 1: Order 6 LED bulbs. You will need the 4 bulb 194s. WLED-B4 LED Ordering Page Step 2: Order 6 Twist Lock Connectors Twist Locks Step 3: Take Dash Bezel Off ![]() ![]() Step 4: Unscrew 4 7mm bolts holding cluster in the dash. ![]() Step 5: Remove Gauges and unplug Harness. ![]() ![]() Step 6: Use a small Flat Screw Driver to pop the clips off the gauge backing. ![]() ![]() Step 7: Locate 6 bulb plugs, and Remove ![]() ![]() Step 8: Plug new LEDS and new Twist locks Before reassembling, make sure you plug the harness back into the cluster to make sure all lights are functional. Some LEDs have to plugged into the socket one way only or they will not work. If you have any that are not functional, just turn the bulb 180 degrees in the twist lock and it should work. Its easiest to do this right before sunset, or else you will have a hard time seeing the lights during the day. ![]()

Awesome 'how-to'!!
I wonder if I can swap out plain white. Two of my lights on my AC control panel have gone out. |

Beat me to it.
BTW, for better results and less hot-spots, you can use the wedge LED's.

The pic looks like there are hot spots, but in person it is very uniform. Trust me, you wont be disapointed.

is this the best way to do LED's in the speedo? i know this is probably the easiest, but is the a better outcome available? and how do you change out the bulbs in like the climate control to make it all blue?

Add clear blue plastic between the light and the clear part of the gauges. The ac cluster bulbs are soldered into the circuit board so unfortunately there are no just swapping bulbs out and I beleive it is the same for all of the control panels.
