I own an 02' GMC Sierra extended cab four door that I would like to drop w/ a 4/6 kit. What I was wondering was how much of a pain n the ass it is installing and how long it would take?? Also...does anybody have any problems driving thier rides w/ a 4/6 drop daily?? Any help would be great. Thanks!!!

I drive my 4/6 daily and have no problems. One thing you must remember though, you are driving a lowered truck. My kit is from djm and uses control arms up front and a flip kit in the rear. With it keeping the stock springs, the ride remained very close to stock. Since you don't change the springs, the shocks will be the determining factor in the ride quality.

I had never done any type of suspension work before and decided I would tackle it myself after hearing some of the estimates around my area. Before I even begain, I read up on some installation articles and asked as many questions as I could. Check around some of the sites, belltech, djm, etc and read some of the articles about installation to get an idea of what you are getting involved with.

It can sound like a big challenge, but it's not that bad. I did mine myself in about 8 hours. It rides like stock, but with no bodyroll, and it can corner like crazy now. You can PM me if you have any questions about the steps involved.

I did my install myself.....as long as your familiar with the tools and what it takes to do it u should be able to get 'er done over a weekend or a long saturday afternoon.... mine is a daily driver and yes I will admit it it rides pretty stiff but what else can u expect rom a lowered truck....small stutter bumps it sucks but on the freeway and such it floats!!.......handles great also!!........good luck...any questions??....post em
