Has anyone done the big 3 wire upgrade, if so did it help with the electrical system and how long did it approximately take to do? thanks. I want to see if it is even worth while to spend the money on to do.
what kind of audio equipment do you have. That will help us decide if you need it. Even if you don't have big stuff it's not a bad upgrade to do if you have lights or anything that draws alot of power from the battery
Yeah i really dont have any aftermarket audio but i have the 05 e fans that draw a grip of power. so i was trying to see if this would help me at idle with the power draw.
I did it on my 93 and actually got better gas mileage

4 feet might be enough. Just cut one for the alt to the batt and see how mush you have left. It depends on where you mount it to the frame and engine block.
Here is an idea of where you can mount the wire to the frame and engine block...
gotcha, i got it for my stereo, because it is such a long run i figured it would be better than the 4awg needed.. so since i got a good price i ordered enough for the big 3 also, i think i got it for like $2shipped a foot.... also, it does make a difference, on only 300 watts i would dimm pre big 3, post big 3 i dont dimm on 800 watts.
