Default automotive manuals

I have been doing some side repair work to offset costs of racing. What is the best either online or CD repair manuals for information content and cost?

Or is there "society" the includes access with their membership fee?
Thanks

Yeah theres AllData and Mitchell On-Demand for software. the only kind i know of. used both of them in my shop. i think AllData costs about $11,000.00 and mitchell is like $14,000.00 plus every year has updates and shit and it costs a shitload. you can buy a chilton for every car you work on or figure it out. but theres probably always something on the net but nothing you can rely on

I just go buy an manual for each car that I HAVE to have one for. And thats rare that I need one. If I need wiring or something I just go by the dealer and have them print it off for me.
