Ok let me introduce myself. My name is Tony Lester. So I have a 2014 silverado that I experienced a TON of funky electrical issues a few months ago. Had my head lights flickering, had stabilitrak errors, power steering errors, and the worst of all, the steering wheel jerking out of my hands.

So after some looking around on youtube I found some videos from a guy named Robert Corona. So he had the exact same issues as my truck did. First thing his dealer did was replaced his BCM. So I did the same (mine was out of pocket because his was under warranty). My issue nor his went away.

So next, he posted another video and a copy of his invoice from where they looked into his issue. They found that ground point named G218 had a "high resistance", but never went into detail on what this was. So after watching his videos My truck finally did the steering wheel jerk thing and I was fed up.

Immediately, I started literally taking apart my dash, because I knew a ground had to be somewhere but I wasnt sure. All I had was a web page after hours of searching I had one crappy photo.

as you can see It shows absolutely zero clues of where it actually is located.

So the next day after more looking around and visiting my dealer I find out that it is on top of the dash, driver side, behind the speaker. So I go home and start putting my truck back together where I tore into it and went for the correct location. I then find this...

Yep that would cause a "high resistance" alright. So I removed the nut and the ground then I trimmed the sound deadening material and put it back together. So far its been 8 months since I have did this and the truck is running like a champ. ZERO issues. Here is what I did to the material, as you can see I trimmed quite a bit...

Also I decided to look on the other side of the dash to the ground G210 and cut it as well, It is NOT necessary to do this but I did anyway.

Now on this next pic you can see the ground diagram for the G218 ground. This ground goes to several important and some not important components. It goes to the BCM, and steering angle sensor. That is why the wheel jerks like it does. When the BCM gets a "high resistance" on that ground it gets a voltage drop. When the BCM doesnt get full 12 volts it starts to heat up. When it heats up is when all these issues come up. Below are the ground diagrams.

Here is where I got all the electrical schematics at.

Awesome write up and great fix SloZ. Electrical problems in my opinion are the absolute worst. It sucks you had to pull the dash apart to figure out it was an easy fix, but your troubles will surely help a lot of people who might be dealing with the same thing, looks like it already has.
