HELP

I own a 1989 chevy c2500, three speed on the floor. Recently performed a full tune up. About a week ago it would turn over but not fire. Thankfully I was parked on a hill and was able to pop start it. It proceeded to throttle very low and almost stall if the gas was not engaged slightly. In order to move at all i was forced to keep the clutch partly engaged, and even then was not getting full power. I was able to "Crawl" the mile and a half across town only using flat or mostly flat roads. If I attempted to climb a hill the engine would rev but even in first gear I wouldn't make it more then 20 feet before i had to back down the hill and find an alt route. Ive checked what I know (not being completely mechanically inclinded) and am at a loss. I am low on funds and am looking for some help on what I should do or look into, before I am forced to make the choice of running it into a tree or leaving it on the side of the road on fire. Any ideas are welcome
