does anyone know if the 2500 upper control arms will work for the 99-06 1500 4wd trucks? I am also looking for a pair of aftermarket control arms if anyone has some?
I used these EBay ones. They are working pretty good, no issues. Removeable ball joints and greasable bushings. They are for a 99-06 2wd with 3" lift according to manufacturer and they make a big deal about them not being for 4wd but there is absolutely no difference in the UCA between the 2 on these trucks. When I had cranked keys they really helped my angles. Spindle Source is the seller. I think they were around $250 when I bought them. Yes they are cheap but everything lined up and the welds look good. Other than that you are looking at Cognitos for double the price.
Let me ask you this Phildirt what the difference in ride quality from the stock to those you have now, I'm also running a 6" kit on my truck do you think they would still work? And I love the coils how did you get those to work and where did you get them?
I don't think UCAs really have much to do with ride quality, in certain applications they extend ball joint life.
Search "coilover swap" and there's a thread on the swap.
