For about the last 2-3 months I've been looking around for a new DD to wheel this winter since I'm trying to keep the salt off of my RCSB. I was basically looking for either a nbs/nnbs 4x4 Sierra/Silverado CCSB, an avy or a Tahoe/Yukon so I had room to put my 2 dogs in. I found this on the local CL over the weekend and bought it last night.

    Specs:
    - 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4x4 5.3L
    - 138,500 miles (221,600 km)
    - Bone stock except for some chrome wheel well trim
    - Has new water pump, brakes, and freshly under coated for winter
    - The only thing it needs is a passenger fog light lens

    Plans:
    - nnbs GMC 20" with 275/60/20 Cooper Zeon LTZ
    - Windshield brow tint 2.5% or 5%
    - BlackBear Tune
    - Clear signal housings and different tails
    - Debadge/Demold and remove steps
    - Little bit of PDR for 2-3 minor door dings
    - Crank stock keys/swap to ford keys eventually
    - HD hood if I can find one
    - Painted flares
    - Painted handles
    - Painted mirror caps
    - Painted bumper plastics
    - Painted grille, billet inserts and bow tie

So I've been browsing the interweb for some different ideas on what I want to do with this thing and came across these:

Basically to start it will be like this (but leveled, minus steps and molding)

Thoughts on fully colormatching it? (I'll be adding the LTZ burb valance regardless I think)

HD hood and something like this grille as well?

I need the height for snow clearance since it's getting dd duty and our winters can be brutal for snowfall

Is that just a esky roof rack on that lowered one? I wouldn't mind having one of those.

I know that my snowfalls in Mo have nothing on Canada but I'm dropped 2/4 and do fine in a foot of fresh snow. That may be kid's play for your area, though

I could probably get away with a small drop but it's not really my scene to be honest. For the amount of gravel it will see I'm just going to crank the keys to start and go from there.

Where are you nbs guys getting your clear turn signal housings from?
