I have a 1960 gmc ½ ton with the original 305 inch V-6 and grannie gear 4 speed...want to put a 350 chev gen 1 vortec and 700r4 trans in it. Need advice on who makes conversion parts, motor and trans mounts, and other necessary parts. My truck has a '71 Chev front crossmember (coil springs), 2 ½ "" drop spindles, and 12' CPP disc brake conversion. Any advise appreciated.

I'd keep the original V6, but that's just me. Anyway, you should be able to find plenty of engine & trans mounts for the truck since the SBC was available during those years, since you say it has a '71 crossmember. The Vortec engine has the same block as design as older, non-Vortec engines. The 700R4 might take a little bit more work. I can't tell you if they have the same mounting pad locations as the TH350/400. Otherwise, it looks like the truck has some good upgrades right now.
