Hello, I am in need of a little help. I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado, Monday I was driving down the road and my gas tank strap broke and it dropped my tank down against the road another motorist let me know and I found a big hole in the bottom of the tank. I got the truck home and put a new tank in it with my original pump and sending unit. Now the truck will not start. I have sprayed carb cleaner into the air breather to see if that would make it fire and nothing. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do next. Thanks!

May have bent a fuel line. I would check that first.

But that does not explain why it does not start with the carb cleaner.

Starting fluid works better for that. You'll need about 1/4 to half a can of straight into the manifold or throttle body to get a LS to crank on straight ether.

Unbolt the fuel rails (4 bolts) and pull the injectors out the manifold to verify that there pumping before you mess anything else up.

That still does not explain why its not firing off the starting fluid or carb cleaner. I have checked all the fuses everything is good. It turns over nice and strong.

Why are you so instant to dump ether in it? I've already explained it takes over half a can or more if you spark. And it's quite dangerous to your health and motor, firemedic. I don't understand why you want it to crank for a few seconds so bad.

Verify, spark and fuel. Obviously you don't have one.

Fuel to the rails, and fuel coming out the injectors are two different things.
