I got the truck in 2012 with 155,000 miles. It is a base model work truck

I don't have any pics of when I first got it, this is a few months later when I got new tires.

Then I got new headlights and a bug guard.

A year later I got leather heated seats and converted to power windows with all oem parts. This summer I got rear ended so i decided to make a new bumper.

My front bumper was also rusting out so I made a front one to match.

I also got tow mirrors, new projector headlights with led bulbs and led switchbacks in the corner lights, and tinted my windows to 30%.

Bumpers look pretty decent actually. Nice truck but desperately needs new wheels though

ya know, i hate aftermarket bumpers or anything really that isn't OEM.

But those don't look bad at all...

Agreed on the bumpers. Normally not a fan but I do like the rear. Nice work man.

I really like that rear bumper. Did you use factory wiring for the seat swap? I'm looking to do that myself

    Thanks guys!

I agree that the wheels are very ugly. Once these tires wear out, I'm going to get some 20x10's.

Yes, I did use the factory wiring.I made it all factory so I got an entire dash wiring harness from a junk yard and swapped it and everything but the memory seat worked without reprogramming the bcm. You do not have to if you are just swapping seats to power, but I did power windows too.

I also just ordered coil-overs for the front to get rid of the torsion bars.

From what I read on that thread is that the kit is not needed on a 2500hd, so I think I am just going to reinforce the stock shock tower.

I got the coilovers installed. It rides a million times better, definitely worth the money. I ended up making my own adapter for the top instead of buying the pro comp ones.

That's awesome. Post up part numbers of springs and shocks you used! Figure if I ever get around to doing this on my 1500 rclb it would be the same. How much lift you running?

I used the ds501 shocks and Suspension Spring Specialist 750 lb/in springs. I could probably go to a stiffer spring so I wouldn't have to preload it as much. It is leveled so probably about 2.5" lift. For your 1500 you will need to use atomics kit, which might mean you have to use a shorter shock.

Love that color (both my trucks are that color lol), and overall clean looking truck. I like all that you've done so far :bowtie:

My only request is you yank off those ugly chrome bed rails.

Thanks! I will eventually pull the rails off, the only thing stopping me is they are very convenient for tying things down. The rail and the rims both kill the look.

I pulled the rails of and put on my winter rims. Not sure if it is my tires or my driveshaft, but something makes the truck vibrate up and down going 70mph.

I decided to modify my upper control arms. I wanted to make them like the cognito arms. I used a bolt in ball joint an made it so the suspension has more downward travel but still without binding anything. I made a jig and welded it to my table so none of the angles would change. The hardest part of this entire project was getting the control arm bolts out and the control arms off the truck. I got it aligned with no issues either.

As you can see there wasn't much left of the old ones.

Your're pretty skilled man, I like the bumpers actually some nice black Mickey Thompson classic locks on bf Goodrich t/a's would bring the look together. Looks like a nice shaped nbs.

I agree with Allterrain. Thought about doing something similar. You can pull off black wheels easily with that bumper. If I could weld good enough I'd do something similar to my UCAs, I have 2 spare sets on the shelf and was daydreaming about how I could change the BJ angle on them.
