Helped me just the other day
Great write up! Low and behold im sitting here waiting for GMFS to load and i find four rubber caps in my pocket....DAMN YOU RUBBER CAPS!
Great post! I wish you had given some insight to the rear doors too but I got it done. I had put this off for over a year and after seeing your pictures, walked out to the driveway and put them on in about an hour. Thanks, this is my wife's truck and she is going to love it!!! She has a white truck and she asked for chrome door handles a year ago. Now she finally has them.
the clips inside the door just pop straight out? I'm not very gentle and it wouldn't be the first plastic clip I've broken... damn flimsy clips
Yes, as long as you're careful none will break. Just make you sure you try and line them back up when popping the door panel back in place or you will smash them sideways.
this is great info thanks for the post
Just did mine. Thanks for the write up!
Why do spammers love this thread so much??
where can i find painted handles?
thanks for the great write up made this much easier...and the magnet is a must
i am using this thread to get panel off my wifes 2010 Sierra. The driver inside door handle does not open the door. The out side works fine. Any ideas what may be wrong. it was a little tight to pull to open door in morning, then nothing in evening. It feels like it is working, but that may be just a spring tension on handle. Thanks
I removed panel in just a few minutes, so easy to do after reading this thread. it was door latch, took to dealer and they replaced under warranty.
I feel strongly about door handles as well!!!
Thanks for posting this write up. I just installed mine. Pretty easy to do. Dropped my socket once, and thought I would never get it back. I did break the long hanger clip that is under the lock on the drivers door upper left side. Looks like it is pop riveted on, so now I have to find one of them.
Thanks for the write up! Got this taken care of in roughly 30 minutes.
Another satisfied customer of this thread. Sheer silver door handles where a bitch to find, but installation only took me an hour thanks to this thread.
This thread helped tremendously thanks!
Took me 4 hours . . . I had a ton of help though (3 young boys)! But it went very well, thanks for the write up. BTW I used wax on the socket to hold the bolts and didn't drop one! Thanks again, your pictures and write up was far more helpful than the instructions that came with it.
Removing and painting the stock ones is what I've been thinking on?
