I picked up a 2016 high country with the 6.2 and 8 speed. Love the truck, but would like to get rid of the speed limiter and possibly get a tune. Anyone else do any mod yet? [IMG][IMG]

I've had my 14 6.2 6 speed tuned for almost 30k miles now. Love it. These trucks learn how you drive too. They will adapt to your driving habits. Bullydog and sct now have custom tunning like EFI and hp tuners that's available to upload onto the actual programer. That'll be my next investment.

I have a 2016 6.2 8spd. I dyno'd it for a baseline but I haven't been back for the actual tuning because life has been crazy. Will prob go after the holidays are over. Bone stock I put 352/411 to the wheels.

We had to take the speed governor off of mine just to baseline it on the dyno. Have to pull 1:1 which is 6th gear. It ran 169mph on the dyno. Ha ha ha

Ya it shuts off at 97mph, with 420HP it doesn't take long to get there.

Yeah, mine gets to 90 pretty fucking quick. With no governor there is a WOT upshift around 100 and it just keeps pulling

I'd look into OZ Tuning if going the SCT Custom tune route. He's got a good track record with Ford's and would assume his GM tuning abilities are just as good. Just to give another option over Blackbear, althought Justin does good tunes as well.

I'm not, other than the occasional stoplight grand prix. Ha ha. It's a quick truck and you can certainly surprise people with it, but it's no Z06, either.

We had to remove the speed governor in order to do the dyno baseline. I don't have much need to go 120mph. The older I get, the less inclined I am to do dumb shit. I would like to take it down a runway and see just how fast it will go though. They hold speed runs at Loring AFB every summer. Might be interesting to bring a stock or damn near stock pickup and run 135-140mph.

If you don't have any info on tuning a 6.2, I don't really give a fuck to hear from you. It's dickbags like you who ruin this forum.

Just asked if youre drag racing.

Your safe place is somewhere over there. Go there. Cry one out.

Forgot this isnt public forum but since it is.............. if youre not drag racing then thankfully youre not sharing roads with me. DNW race truck divers like you going 120 on public roads that I take my family on.

97 is where it's governed? Unless they govern the trucks much much lower than the SUVs, that's complete bullshit.

IMO, it's one of those things that prob saves stupid people from hurting themselves. Most truck tires really aren't speed rated for 100+ and there isn't any need to go that fast on a regular basis. It would be nice to be able to go faster in an emergency though.
