Just picked up a super clean 98 k1500 with 85k on it. It was owned by an older gentleman and is bone stock. I however can't ever stand to leave anything stock. So over the next while we'll have to see where I go with the truck. Snapchat-4566919313811103562_zpstxaeqpby.jpg

Wow someone's kind of a downer aren't we? Just because I'm removing bolt on crap that I think is ugly? Remember you do you and I'll do me.

On its way to destruction? Look at my powerstroke. It was on its way to the grave and I saved it and it is a hell of a truck now. Not all "young kids" destroy every vehicle they touch. That's why I choose this truck as it hadn't been molested and beat on. Yeah I do have fun with my vehicles but I also do take care of my vehicles. So if your gonna keep being critical of what I do to my trucks you can go f off and if you'd like to settle down and realize people can do whatever they want to there own trucks that'd probably be a better option.

Just started ordering some parts. I'm probably just going to collect them all and do everything over Christmas break. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do for wheels and tires. I'm leaning towards a set of crager soft 8s with some 32s on it. I hate rubbing and I only want to go with a torsen crank level, so I'm not 100% set on what to do for wheels and tires yet. Only other thing I'm undecided on yet is exhaust. I love true dual straights no cats but it's just not an option as I drive 60+ miles a day. So we'll have to see what I come up with for these two.

zero offset 16x8s with 4 inch backspacing give these a nice stance. I vote 2 inch body lift (it's subtle) with the front keys set to level and 285/75r16 tires. For the Exhaust get a dual-in / dual-out magnaflow. With the cats out of it you'll make decent noise but not hate life cruising.

If you want to get more involved the Pro-Comp shocks are known as the best value when it comes to cheap shocks. Rough Country makes a set of upper control arms for these that improve the ride quality with it leveled by allowing more down travel.

@11MPG How can you have both zero offset and 4" backspacing? 4" backspace is -13mm offset.

Body lift just isn't an option for me. I've just never been a fan of them. And back to exhaust, what do you think about true dual straights with the cats left in?
I had Procomp shocks on my last k1500 with a 4in lift and that thing rode smooth, so I will definitely look into them again.
