Well my first truck was a RCSB lifted 2wd. After that I got my '97 OBS z71. The motor finally blew in it at 230k so I sold it and here is what I have now!

    So long OBS...

It's been in TN it's whole life and the garage kept for most of it. From the pictures below, you can tell it was owned by an older man. He used it to go from FL and back pulling his camper. The truck is super clean, just needs some love and GMFS a treatment.

    The day I bought it.

    Plans:
Fully de-badge and remove old man shit
    03+ silverado taillights
    Clear corners and headlights
    20% tint all around
    Factory cab lights(maybe)
    4500k HIDs
    Full LED interior bulbs
    Re-spray frame

I'm sure there is more, but all I can think of for now

My plan for suspension was to lift with new keys and some 4" CST spindles on 33/35's with the NNBS 8-lug 20s. Come to find out, GM put coil spring suspension on the 99/00 2500s. Because of this, I can't find a compatible front suspension lift anywhere..... I'm still doing research..... I'm hoping at least the CST spindles will work. if they don't i found a company that makes lifts for the Express/Savana Vans and they have the same front suspension. i'm working with them as well right now too.

If the lift route doesn't work, I'll try to go low with some more go-fast parts.

Looks a million times better without the steps/flares. How'd it look underneath all that?

yea.... sooo much better. Its was really clean underneath, nothing a good detail won't take care of. Whoever did the install got a little happy with the mounting screws. 90% of the holes are not noticable at all though. the worse spot is between the rear tire and bumper.

i took off work tomorrow, so i'm going to try to get the rest of the crap off and give it a good wash

Good progress, will look so much better without that hideous-ass visor, I hate those things. I think it would look awesome low, never see many lowered 2500's.

Here's a little more progress. I got the visor off and the holes siliconed. I also pulled off the tail light covers. I ran out of bug/tar remover so I still need get the badges off and clean up the adhesive on the tail lights some more.

One more small update. Got the window visors, SLE badge and 2500 badge off. I finally got one of those 3M adhesive removal wheels and WOW.... They work miracles. [IMG]

    Got the tailgate done too.

I also got my clear parking lights in tonight so I'll get the headlights done and install them this week.

Looking good. I say keep the side moldings. I think the Sierra molding looks nice, the silverado molding is too big and ugly.

Looking good. I'd have left the moldings, I actually think the Sierra ones look nice on there.

    Looks like a new truck!

I thought it was crazy to pay $40 for that damn eraser wheel but it sure does make quick work of adhesives/decals.

thanks! Yea, its worth every penny. I hate myself for doing so many sets of moldings and badges without that wheel. You can do a whole truck in probably 30 minutes.
