So with them being 5+ backspace will this give them a more stuff look within the fender or not??? Trying to picture it the best I can before making an offer. The person who has them had them on a 05 Silverado, and I have a 08 Sierra they will go if I pull the trigger. Just having a hard time picturing how much they stick out or how stuffed they will be. Any and all replies appreciated very much.

They will not stick out at all, they will likely be about even with the fender, or just a hair inside. For comparison the OEM NNBS 20s are 20x8.5 with +31mm or 5.97" backspacing. So your wheels would stick out ~1/2" more than OEM 20s, which sit well within the fenders of a NBS.

Why do we all discuss offset? Maybe I'm wrong but when going from wheel to another (brand/style/etc) its the backspacing that will determine fit in and out of wheel well?
Plus you can measure Backspacing offset can only be obtained from spec sheet

We discuss offset because that is a measurement companies use for their wheels. So you need to know how to convert backspacing to a offset measurement and vice versa when looking to order wheels, because some companies describe their wheel in offsets and some describe them in backspacing.

Also, most cast wheels have the offset stamped in the back of the wheel, even if they don't, you can easily determine the offset within 2mm. So it's not just attainable from a spec sheet.

Very helpful thread. Could have used this when I did my Avy years ago...would have saved a boatload of rubbing.
