I tried searching on here and a few other places for an answer to no avail.

I bought this truck with a half hazard tbi to carb swap in the works.

I plan on replacing the gauges and removing the a/c.

Is it possible to remove the rest of the computer side wire harness and be able to run the truck?

Also, how can I wire the in tank fuel pump so it runs without the computer?

The reason for the total removal is that there are many, many wires missing from sensors and what not that were removed prior to me buying it.

We have been unable to get it to run and believe
Missing harness grounds might be the culprit.

The starter engages, but has started to smoke and stay engaged. It stays engaged until the battery is unplugged.

    New battery
    New starter
    New distributor
