Hey! New to the whole truck thing. I've got an '84 K10 that has a 350 (bored out to 383) engine in it with an Edelbrock carbeurator (1406). I'm having a few problems and don't have any idea how to fix it, or what could be the problem.

-spark plugs are dark and wet. checked the distributor, it looks good. checked spark plug gaps, they're all at .040 (if i did it right). tested all spark plugs on the engine block, they all spark. set timing at 14.

-runs alright until going uphill, the engine feels like it is struggling (the truck jumps up and down when its going up hills like that, for lack of a better term. a friend said it could be choking itself out)

    -the choke sticks closed

Hook a spring or a zip tie to the choke linkage to keep it open, just to test if that indeed is the problem.
