Got my new van. Has some cheap ass Amber lightheads on it. They have 3 wires, black, white ,grey. And they are set on the WORST flash pattern in the universe. Not sure how to change though. Can't find shit on them

here in Pa. the only ones able to run red are police and fire chiefs. Fire dept. runs blue so do fire police. State police usually run red and blue -- emergency vehicles run red and white mostly. Volunteers are technically are only allowed 1 light be it on cab or stand above cab.. Most run lighting to be seen on all 4 sides (some can be seen from space station - over load) some is good more is better crowd. Which I believe is why they said 1 light only. As a fire police on the side of a road off the pavement I want to be seen as far back as I can be without blinding people so hopefully they slow down at least a little. I'll be installing flush mount blue in my grill and probably behind cab on front of bed along with 2 on each rocker panel above the step mid mount.and wired so I can turn on any side or all around depending on what's needed. The sad part is they'll still say "they didn't see the lights" perhaps someday when they need help they'll think back when they didn't move or pay attention??

Here in Delaware it's white only on the front for volunteers but within the department officers are allowed blue and white on the front. We're allowed red, white, blue, and Amber on the rear no real restrictions on location and amount. But we have the few squirrels who do way more than needed. No sirens on pov

Iowa POV lights for volunteer firefighters are blue, and EMS is white. All POV lights are courtesy lights. No sirens. Emergency vehicles are red blue and white.

you can NEVER have more than you need.... you could have a light set-up bright as the sun &dumb drivers would either be playing with their phone or just plain say "they didn't see you".. I drove a bright yellow tri-axel lit up like a Christmas tree and people would say they didn't see me... My goal is having all the guys I protect and myself going home the same way they went out whatever it takes even if it takes bending the light rules a touch without being obnoxious

Still got that 3500 flatbed I have to equip. Thinking 4 flush mounts of some kind, and a mini bar
