Might i suggest this one? Simple free 6-Hi headlight mod (8-high if you want to get really technical) for NBS trucks:

    http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67173

I just did mine (Including the yellow wire ground 4-Hi trick), and it was VERY simple, but i'll add one tip: for pin 87 on the DRL side, rather than tinning it, i took a flat male spade connector and cut it in half so that it was the same width as the relay. stays in there perfectly. Nothing like having every bulb on the front of your truck lit up like Vegas.

How about disabling the DRL on the 99-02. Or was that covered already

I'd like to see what one has to go through to retro-fit the '02 Chevy 2500HD hood onto an '02 GMC Sierra...
    any help here?
I see you have one on the truck in your sig there bgray... did you have to do any welding?

I don't have a Silverado hood handy to take a look under... so not sure what I'd be cutting.

    Anyone? HD hood on GMC?????

    bgray, where are you at?

I've now got a 2002 Chevy Silverado HD hood in my barn... need to find out what I need to do to it to make it fit my Sierra properly.
I may just start cutting with the wheel and find out, but I've read some places that vaguely mention it needing welding.... which I'm not too sure about at this point.

Yeah, I started a separate thread about this quite awhile ago, and have also since added the HD hood to my Sierra.

Check out the link here if you want.

Hi out there, Just bought a new 2010 Z71 extended cab about a week ago and love it.Already adding stuff to it like tonneau cover, step bars, etc.I was wondering if anybody out there could tell me how to remove the front grill.I found a LTZ grill of E-Bay that has the the nice factory wire mesh inserts and would like to swap out grills.

Either I'm retarded or just cant find it but I would like to see a list of part numbers for esky handles with and without key holes seperated by color or something of the sort.
Or just to make this simple I need the model numbers for summit white ones. front drivers side and passengers side.

How about a thread about all of the different grill, hood & headlight options for the NBS trucks? Escalade, Denali, Sierra, Silverado, by year and HD vs non-HD. Then you could put links to any relevant threads that discuss a swap from one to another. I have looked and looked and can't find this anywhere. I wish there was a forum just for GMT800's like the '400 guys have.

not a bad idea, but hang around long enough and most all of those are just referred to as common knowledge.

If you hang around anything long enough, even rocket science becomes common knowledge. The point would be to put it all in one spot, and avoid a newbie posting a question about swapping on a Denali grill every month. I have searched and found some of the info, but I know there is far more. It would be nice to have one spot where you could 'window shop' and see which combination you like best based on looks, and have the link right there to go out to your garage and get started.

Sounds like a great idea to me! A strictly GMT 800 section would be a nice addition to the forum.
