I'm leaning towards an alternator not being your problem, you've got issues with multiple electrical systems in your truck, check your fuse boxes and see if anything is burnt

on your truck, the alternator is pretty much just there to charge your battery, there's no intelligent power modules or anything that it needs to control, on something that old, you can literally drive without the alternator for a while as long as the battery is charged, so you can basically remove it from the equation.

however, if you absolutely, positively think its the alternator, unbolt it, take it to the auto parts store and have it tested. then move on to your fuse boxes and look for burnt terminals or corrosion

grab a volt meter and start testing things. Believe it or not, no matter how many questions you ask, how many threads you make, or ho wmuch you ask the internet. This is still going to require some effort on your part.

not sure bud, its been 14 years since I had one of those trucks, I want to say the interior controlling fuses are on the drivers side of the dash either under the column to the left of the knee bolster, the other one is somewhere under the hood
