group chop

    couple guys were talkin about a group chop ... not so much a contest .. just for braggin rights and learning and all that good stuff. figured id look for some pics to start with ...

    i think its cus i use firefox... tried it with ie and didnt work ...

    i use firefox and i can see it just fine. idk. good choice for a car. is this pic final or are we still deciding cuz ive been wanting to chop a WRX for a wile. just an idea. maybe we could do the WRX for the next one

    edit: since no one's in this thread this late i guess ill just start choppin this one.

    lol, i was just readin up on the pen tool, but im still here. Oh, and that's the pic he intended, i just found it and put it on imageshack.

    ... guess im the only one left ... im on my 35th layer!... so far im lovin it. thanks for gettin the big one up blownsierra ... and yeah tapasspinners wrx sounds good for the next one

    not bad man not bad. i dunno if we should make this a contest or anything.. maybe just a big ass random photoshop thread.. ill work on one tomarrow. i also have to finish that dually too..

    nice one kck. Does anyone have any tips for using the pen tool?

    depends on what ur using it for... when ever i use it i use a new layer , that way its easily deletable... just in case you run out of the undo history thing.

    what are ya usin it for ... shading , drawin in new stuff??

    go to window>>paths. it should bring up your paths palette (looks kinda like your layers palette). also make sure that you have it set to rubber band before you do anything. also, the key i use most when using the pen tool is the alt key, i use it to change the direction of the lines and the angle of the curve. its kinda hard to explain. just play around with it on a blank document and try to make block letters and stuff. then try outlining something and go from there.

    also, the paths palette is good for saving paths that you created earlier (like the outline of a truck, etc). paths are good because all you have to do is hold control and click somewhere on the path and you can readjust any part of the path.

    i pretty much gave up on it but, i got some of it done. this was my first time brushing so its pretty rough but yall get the idea.
