I changed my courtesy/puddle light bulbs (the ones under the bottom of the side mirrors) on my '05 Silverado to LED's. However, when I did, there is a slight current draw or something. They stay dimly lit... Like just a couple of the diodes in the middle are on all the time. Is there any reason why this would be occurring? I don't drive that truck often and it has now killed the batteries (Duramax).... Do I need to add some type of resistor too or something?

Put the oem bulbs back in and call it a day. I wouldn't exactly call that a visibility/performance upgrade.

Try turning them around and see if it makes a difference

Same thing happened when I did the interior lights on my '04. It's likely just the cheap bulbs being cheap bulbs.
