Small little mod, wired up some footwell lights and oh man they are bright, it's like having a mini LED light bar under your dash. Only 6 bucks on Amazon also, win. Need to get some pics of them at night also.

Ft. Dirty wheels. Okay gents and gents, I've had a change in plans on my truck, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be selling my preds for some 20" stockers and keeping my tires and using those still, or option 2, selling or trading for some 20x10's. Reason for all of this is I want to crank down a inch or so to ride better and my setup right now is really heavy so I want some lighter wheels for a little better mpg's and breaking power since these 12's do take a lot of it away. If anyone knows the weight difference between the 10's vs 12's would be greatly appreciated because I would trade for 10's. And here's Tyler's truck for a reference of the stockers I would run. I know I really do like how it's sits, that's why I'm kinda leaning towards some 20" gmc stockers.

Gear x10 vs x12 43 lbs for x10 and 48 lbs for X12. Get lighter tires. Those trail grapps are 76 lbs a piece.

This was my fear of going with big wheels but my current set up is 80 lbs or a little more. My new set up should be 110 a corner.

Sweet thanks, I know these tires weigh as much as a boulder, but I'm going to run these dry until I can afford new tires later on, would've figured a 10 would be in the high 30's at least.

Also you have the 6.0l right? Mines a itty bitty 4.8 which is constantly down shifting when trying to accelerate, so you'll have a much better time pushing those tires/wheels.

Keep wheels and tires... Swap in cammed 6.0 and re-gear!!!

Seriously though, your plans sound solid, those stock GMC wheels will look great

I would absolutely love the 6.0 but don't feel like dumping that much money in the truck, but I might be trading my brother my truck for his 03 rcsb arrival blue 4.8 silvy in December but I'm not sure yet, he needs more room in a truck for carpooling roommates up at college and I only have my gf ride in my truck so I would be fine with the single cab, he even said he wouldn't want the 12's because their too much hassle with cleaning/curbing and the attention from thieves, so stockers work for him lol.

I think I've made up my mind on the wheel situation, I'm going to sell my preds or trade for 20x10's, and run a 285/55r20 tire on them, that way if me and my brother trade I can throw them on his truck. And hopefully that should be a little lighter than my current set up.

I just did some research, I'm gonna scratch the 285's and go with a 305/50r20, the 305/50 is a little smaller but wider and lighter. So 305/50r20's on 20x10's should be pretty good for me.

    (Both toyo open a/t 2's)
    285/55r20 weight- 59
    305/50r20 weight- 51

I feel you on lightweight tires. That's why I opted for nitto exo of trails. Mine weigh 63 pounds each compared to 35s I tried at 76 pounds. I'm wondering what the new ridge will weigh in all sizes once produced.

Yes that's what I'm thinking but I've actually have a obsession with these stock gmc 20's but can't find any on Craigslist [IMG]
