    Hey fellas,

So, I've been planning to convert the front end of my '12 1500 to the HD version for weeks now. I work at a GM dealership (body shop), which has given me the advantage of having access to GM parts diagrams (and employee pricing, woohoo!) I ordered my parts yesterday and they will be here today!!! Anyway, there is a 300+ page super thread on this topic but it is mind-boggling to attempt to read through. That thread got me started, but I'm going to put this build thread together to help the guys that do this mod behind me. I'm going to attach some pics here of the parts diagrams I've been dissecting and researching to show you where I started. Keep in mind the parts of the diagram that I have X'd out and wrote don't need, that's just for ME. You may choose to use that lower air deflector or fog lights, etc. (I'm going to use Rigid Industries Dually type LED's instead of fogs) Sub to this thread, I will be posting pics as I put it together and hopefully it will end up as a clear, concise "How To". Stay tuned.

The truck that I'll be converting.

You're going to run a bumper with fog light holes but no fogs?

I'm going to use Rigid Industries Dually type LED's instead of fogs! I put this in the original post, to make it more clear! Thanks!

Great, just what we need is two threads on the same subject. Bryan's thread has the info in the first post. I say just merge this with the other one imo.

The guys that did it before him didn't do it right. This is to help the guys after him :read:

to be fair though that thread is a monster now.
oh and $2,000 not including paint FTS. I thought my $1400 was too much

That big thread is good like I said, it just doesn't have every single part, nut, bolt, clip, part number, etc that is needed if you order the parts from GM individually. This is every detail you'd need to do the job.

I should have mentioned!! If you look close at my front bumper, the lower valence is cracked (and the chrome bar and right bumper corner have small dents in them). I bumped into a lady 2 weeks after having the truck (while it was still stock height) and so I have $1,470 from the insurance company. I'm using the money to just buy HD parts instead of 1500 parts. Yeah there's no way I would pay THAT much out of pocket to do this project. :yaoface2:

Guess you didn't read the OP? This is me doing my own build thread (just like you've got I see). Try not to be critical to the (maybe 5%) of people who join here who contribute something. :emotions34:

its going to look good, after you get this done maybe you can sell me your truck lol.

only thing i would add is get the oem foglight switch and wiring so that you dont have some random switch to turn them on
