is making a notch into my tranny cross member a no go?
My front driveshaft is slightly rubbing it and im thinking to just cut out the clearance I need, then reinforce the brace with some steel and weld it on. Anyone have any experience doing something like this?

Ideally I would get a crossmember drop but my dam control arms bolt onto the frame AND the tranny crossmember.

I did it on my mega cab. I used a piece of 1/4" walled pipe when I did mine.

The walled pipe was to re inforce the bracket? Did you weld it ontop or bottom side?

I had to notch mine good. I welded the pipe on the bottom then removed the crossmember an cut it above the pipe. Filled it in with plate and put it back on

Should be pretty easy to do. Haven't done it on a 4th gen Ram tho.

I had to do it when I indexed the t-case when I went from 6" to 8" of lift.
