Si, that was the pilot. I ordered tap and drill bit set together. Comes with the F, .257, which Kyle says doesnt make a different b/t it and the 17/64 as far as ease of tap goes. I'm glad they do this and make it easy for everyone.
Can you help me with this one? Its from my build thread.
Since the bolts are 5/16-18, does this chart tell me that I should use a 17/64 size drill bit? It would suck to use too small a bit and have the tap break off in the hole. So far I've been able to use a 7/32" drill bit and it was a bitch to do just that. I felt like I was drilling through weld material.
Ok, cool, thanks. I dont have em yet. Yours have plenty of flex too. I'm curious though, that the spring rates of the stock fronts for the 73-91 K30's are only 1400 and 1900. Or is not a heavy rate required because its shorter at 47"?
The pinion yoke side has c-clips to align the u-joint, so I should be measuring width from c-clip to c-clip based on the previous link. This measurement was about 2 7/16(close enough to 2 9/16 I guess), but yet the caps are 1 1/16, and this chart says S44 is 1 1/8.
But I guess what it boils down to is that a P447 has a 1 1/8 and 1 3/16 cap and P448 has 1 1/16 and 1 3/16 cap, right?
-_- Anuder question. I found a thread on FSC a while ago about u-joint conversions, and you mentioned you had a 1.125" cap on the shaft and 1.0625 on the pinion, with a width of 3.625. Mine is the same. I believe I need the P448 u-joint for the 14SF, but I'm not exactly sure.
