I'm looking for some feedback with the style. Mainly with the day running lights if people have any issues with the driver side going on often and any issues with the Gage cluster.

No. I see many trucks where the driver side drl is shot and I have had problems where sometimes the driver side will come on and sometimes it won't

There was a gm service bulletin for the drls on the 99-02 and for the 03-05 hd cluster with the clock springs

My '03 (2500HD) had a dead DRL. 85k miles.

My '04 (2500HD) has no problems. 156k miles.

If a DRL is a major point of conflict for you, I'd recommend getting a Huffy. Like most machines, shit's gonna break.

Well it's not a big deal. Like I can live without it. But I didnt know if it was something that has happened with alot of ppl. Cuz I guess my concern was I see alot of Chevys with the driver side out. And mine looks like it's burnt on the inside.

Never had any problems with my DRLs. 2004 with 210k. My speedo did die at 75k though due to the bad stepper motor. Replaced with a 2006 SS cluster and no problems since.

My drivers side was blown when I got it.

Two minutes and $7 at the parts store and it's fixed. I tossed the extra bulb in the glovebox in case it blows again.

No biggie.

Both of my DRL's work just fine. And my heated seats work great to.

Yea. My rpm gauge needs to be repaired. It's shows 500rpm at 65 mph sometimes. My heated seats. The buttons just flash when u push it. On both doors

My drivers day time was out when I UVI'd my truck but new bulb no problems since, My drivers heated seat has a bad grid so it doesnt work, passenger works just fine. Cluster went out at 74k

got an 00 but mine has went out a few times....until the DRL harness was replaced. The bish was getting rusted. Its not common though have seen a FEW trucks with this issue as well

I switched my DRLs to amber bulbs the first month I got the truck, 4 years 30k miles later no issues.

If I had a dollar for every GM truck I see daily with one DRL burnt out!!

Here's the GM bulletin for the DRL's. I couldn't find the 4114K's when I needed some, so I installed 4157K's, & I haven't burned one out in over 2 years. It might have something to do that I never drive with DRL's on, always low beams.

This bulletin is being revised to add model information and to announce availability of new DRL bulb part number.

Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 00-08-42-010 (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).

A new 14 volt DRL bulb, PIN 15199562 (trade bulb # 4114K), is now available for use whenever a DRL lamp bulb on the above listed vehicles requires replacement. This more robust, higher voltage DRL bulb replaces P/N 1999482 (trade bulb #.4157K). These bulbs should be replaced in pairs for customer satisfaction.

I used a 3157 and no problem since. Just a bad connection. Anyone know where I can get a tag light housing for cheap. Mine broke

No problems with my 03 at 76k.

I use PIAA 3157 in the DRL's and the back ups, brighter and last much longer.
