whats everyone opinion on the comparison between these two? I hear the LBZ is the way to go. Then I read that the early LLYs had cooling problems, but LLYs seem to be more in my price range.

I used to work at this dealership and still have a relative that still does...i can get the truck for somewhere around 25-26K. It has a "thunder road" package which I have no clue about. Procomp 6" with new procomp wheels and tires. A hypertech, UWS low profile tool box, line x etc...

If you're paying around 25-26k, you should be getting and LBZ anyways. Most people say to get an LBZ because they have no major issues and come with the 6 speed, which is better than the 5 speed

i even bought my 06 rclb lbz with 25k miles for 18k

I wouldn't pay a dealer extra for the truck just because it had a lift kit, they sure as hell aren't going to pay extra for the lift when you trade it in to them. LBZ FTW though.

LBZ over LLY anyday. I payed 21 for mine a year ago.

Dont buy that truck with the Procomp on it. I've learned a thing my last and my dad's last purchase. Don't buy a truck with someone elses lift on it. Especially a Procomp. They suck, definantely if ur going to take it offroad. This was my second break on the lift, but I think its the last http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=169812. Learn from my mistake.
